About Max

I started as a musician, learned to record and found my way into live sound and lighting, learning from mentors along the way. In 2012 my first bigger lighting show (on a grandMA1 micro :D) got me hooked: Creating an impactful light show fitting the music and feeling the audience respond to the whole show coming together was incredible - and still is!

I'm a creative mind, problem solver and tinkerer, feeling at home in the audio, lighting, photo- and videography world, live and in the studio.

When I encounter a problem, my mind immediately starts going through possible solutions. If there isn't one available, my mind goes into “let's create / build one” mode.

The first time I heard Casey Neistat's “build over buy” philosophy for his studio, this resonated with me, stuck and evolved into “I'll build myself whatever I need to do this the best I can”. Be it recording or mixing, live or in the studio, creating lighting designs or programming software or hardware to do exactly what I want it to.
